Just a reminder, if you're looking for Spirit Shards (and you mentioned Soldiers previously, who drop Spirit Shards for item synthesis), you might also want to look for Large Bodies; which appear almost everywhere at this point in the game: Traverse Town, Agrabah Market, Hollow Bastion, Wonderland, Monstrous Monstro... At such, you would probably have a better chance at getting Spirit Shards faster if you stuck to killing Large Bodies instead of Soldiers.

Hmm, the Arts. Don't waste your time on them, the only thing you'll get out of collecting them, given you have at least one of each type (Aero, Blizzard, Cure, Fire, Gravity, Stop, Thunder) is the Dream Shield from Merlin; second rate to the Save the King shield that you receive, I believe, once you complete the Hades Cup in Olympus Coliseum on Time Trial (of which one can pull off in less than 15 minutes, as opposed to the many long hours it takes to receive each one of the Arts, even with knowledge of their whereabouts). But it's your call, of course; just remember my advice.
